Day Ride to Bharachukki Falls (15March2009)

Route : Bangalore - Ramanagar - Maddur - Malavalli - Bharachukki Falls

It was a group of 6 guys on 4 Bullets : Me & Prithvi on my Thunderbird, Arvind and Pawan on Arvind's Electra, Aditya on his Machismo & Rajesh on his electra

While having a discussion in office on what do we do over the weekend, it was decided that we go on for a day ride. It had been a while we all had gone out together and I suggested we go to Siddarabetta. Since we would be heading towards Tumkur road, we decided to meet up at Jalahalli cross at 9.00AM. I started from my place at around 7.45AM and on the way Arvind joined me. I went on to pickup Prithvi and Arvind went on to pick up Pawan. We all assembled at Jalahalli cross at 9.30AM and it was sharp.

It was hot sunny day and Prithvi came up with a new plan instead of visiting Siddarabetta. He was insisting that we visit water place rather than going to Siddarabetta which is dry. Everyone agreed that we visit water place to beat the heat and we decided to go to kanwa Reservoir in Ramanagar. We started our journey and every one's attention was on us while we were cruising on the ring road. We started riding through the Mysore road and at the junction of Kanwa reservoir, we saw a tender coconut vendor and we decided to have a some tender coconuts to cool our thirst. We enquired about the place with the vendor and he told there is no water in reservoir and visiting the place would be waste. Oops one more hurdle and instantly i suggested we ride to Bharachukki falls where we can play in water. Then rode further towards Bharachukki Falls and we passed through Channapatna and Maddur. At the junction of Maddur we loaded Adi's saddle bags with beer and moved on further towards Malavalli. Since we don't have any hotels at Bharachukki falls, we decided to pack all the food at Malavalli. At Malavalli there was one more hurdle, my bike got punctured. I asked the guys to move on so that i can get my bike fixed and join them at the falls. Me and prithvi were in Malavalli busy getting my bike tyre fixed and after tyre puncture was ready we rode towards Bharachukki falls.

After all these hurdles, change of decision, at last we reached Bharachukki falls at 3.00PM. Spent some good time there playing in the falls and with some good beer. Falls was not to its glory and it was very much dry. In one way it was lucky and we played bindaaz under the falls, and sorry i could not upload those pics bcos most of them were censored ;)

We started our journey back at 6.00PM and while riding back, it started drizzling heaviliy. It was sort of relief for us after hot day and riding in rain was fun. On the way back we stopped at Coffe day and had some hot coffe and reached blore at around 10.00PM. Overall it was fun, but Prithvi and Pawan had a tough time sitting as a pillion because their Butts were burn't hard. Overall it was fun and good memories to cherish.
