Mulli and Nagamarai was something which I planning for a long time. I knew Mulli is near SilentValley and its one of the dense forest zone in the border of Tamilnadu and Kerala. Nagaramarai is beautiful place where cauvery is very wide.
Route : Bangalore – Kabini – Wayanad – Kozhikode - Mannarkad - Mulli - Conoor - Nagamarai - Billgundla - Bangalore
Team : Me on my Thunderbird and Ramesh Babu on his Electra
This was one of beautiful forest ride which I would always cherish.
Day 1: We started the ride in the evening on 25th Jan and our plan was to ride until Mysore and start the actual forest routes from next day. We started as per the plan, as usual my bike gave problem near Bangalore university and my accelerator cable got cut. It was bundh day and luckily there was a mechanic shop opened and we had rectified the accelerator cable and continued riding to Mysore. Reached Mysore around 9.30PM
Day 2 : This was the day where we planned to ride thorough the forest of Nagarahole. We started early morning around 7.00AM and rode towards Nagarahole via Hunsur. It was awesome route and enjoyed riding though the forest. The forest was dry and it was different scene together. Then we went down the Kabini reservoir and spent some time relaxing. Later continued to ride from Wayanad to Kozhikode via Lakkidi ghat and this was one of mesmerizing route. Finally reached Calicut in the late evening around 7.00PM

Day 3 : It was good time at Kozhikode and I was eagerly waiting for the next day, coz we were to hit some unknown belt. We started early morning and started riding towards Mannarkad, it was good and decent state highway. We could not go fast as there was too much traffic and we were able to maintain at 60-70KMPH. We reached Mannarkad and then to MULLI.
Mulli was a border between karnataka and TN and there is no roads and its just a forest rough patch. Then we rode from Mulli to Conoor which was very dense and once of the beautiful ride I would always cherish. We rode slowly enjoying the forest and on the way we could see only Bison. Finally reached Conoor and then Mettupalyam.

Day 4 : This was the last day of our ride and we know its gonna be just a highway ride. The only place that was interesting is Nagamarai. We rode from Mettupalayam to Sathi and the route had some good green paddy fields. Roads were amazing. Finally we reached Nagamarai.
Nagamarai, WOW this was one of great place where the Cauvery was as wide as 2 Kms. Unfortunately the rived was dry and it was looking like a desert. We rode though the river and finally ferried the Bike in the coracle to the other side of river. Then we rode to Billgundla and had a good bath in Kaveri. Finally the road from Billgundla to Hosur was amazing and just like a racing route and we were racing like crazy.
